Through the realignment of the three Bumiputera-mandated agencies under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy, namely Yayasan Peneraju, TERAJU and Ekuinas, each will play a specific role within the Bumiputera entrepreneurial ecosystem. Yayasan Peneraju will focus on talent development to enhance the Bumiputera value-creation class, while TERAJU will act as a super-scaler in driving growth and expanding the scale of Bumiputera Companies to a higher and more competitive level on the global stage. Meanwhile, Ekuinas will continue to drive Bumiputera wealth creation and economic participation through corporate equity ownership.
As the champion of the Bumiputera agenda, TERAJU brings together government, the private sector and civil society to help Bumiputera companies grow and build resilience. This role is delivered through facilitation interventions such as Reverse Linkages, Management Buy-Outs, and Mergers & Acquisitions. These interventions are further supported by a comprehensive range of financing and development programmes, which are continually refined to stay relevant to the current economic landscape.
