Through the realignment of the three Bumiputera-mandated agencies under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy, namely Yayasan Peneraju, TERAJU and Ekuinas, each will play a specific role within the Bumiputera entrepreneurial ecosystem. Yayasan Peneraju will focus on talent development to enhance the Bumiputera value-creation class, while TERAJU will act as a super-scaler in driving growth and expanding the scale of Bumiputera Companies to a higher and more competitive level on the global stage. Meanwhile, Ekuinas will continue to drive Bumiputera wealth creation and economic participation through corporate equity ownership.
A holistic and innovative approach involving collaboration between the government, private sector and civil society has been devised to effectively empower the scaling of Bumiputera companies. This initiative is introduced through three main strategies Reverse Linkages, Management Buy-Out and Mergers & Acquisitions. This initiative is supported by comprehensive financing and facilitation programs to ensure effective implementation.
